  • Aiming for an IPO, Dave needed to re-activate as many of its (millions of) lapsed users with the goal of getting them back to using the app, and trying its many new features.

  • It’s all about timing. Dave’s basic benefit is the cash advance, something that you need when you need it. However, with the suite of additional features, including a deposit account, community saving, and a side hustle job board, there were reasons to use Dave even when money wasn’t tight. We created a messaging system that matched reasons-to-use with real life, be it weekends and holidays, pop culture events, or financially-relevant days like Tax Day, to make the timing right to use the app again.

  • The Chief Commercial Officer called this “the best marketing program we’ve done all year.”

Push and text reminder call outs encouraged new app downloads and contact verification to unlock access to the app.
